The Little Beet made a public commitment to anti-racism. The commitment includes five moves to do more for its team members, and five points of accountability for its leadership. Among the five accountability measures: 50% diversity on its home leadership team by 2022, purchasing 15% of produce, ingredients, and products from BIPOC-owned businesses by 2021, and revising core values to reflect its anti-racism commitment. A Pure Barre franchise in San Marcos took decisive action in the face of a staff member testing positive for the coronavirus. The staff member had followed guidelines and wore a mask, was asymptomatic, and is currently quarantining at home. Blue Apron has declared election day a paid holiday for employees. According to a paywall-limited article in Business Insider cited by Delish.com, the “decision is part of the company’s diversity and inclusion programming, which also involves helping employees ‘with voter registration, early voting services, absentee ballots, and transportation to the polls.’” Read More

StretchLab

StretchLab is offering three free classes a day from June 15 to 19 “led by seasoned Flexologists from around the country via Zoom.” The classes intend “to help those who may have fallen out of their usual healthy habits” while quarantining. Read More
