Jason Bacaj
Jason claims to be a ski bum at heart but we would argue there’s a writer in there as well. He joined Wisetail after carving out a substantial career in journalism. After graduating from Washington & Lee University he worked for several newspapers, covered the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, led award-winning coverage of the deadly tornadoes that hit Alabama in 2011 and exposed a several million dollar real estate conspiracy. He brings that same zest for storytelling into his work in business development, always searching for new ways to connect through well-crafted written communication. He’s excited to be part of a team tasked with building a sustainable outbound sales program in the long run by putting in the hard work now through testing, learning and experimenting.
He was lured to Bozeman five years ago to run our local newspaper’s business magazine. But while professional creative freedom brought him to Montana, the local ski terrain has kept him here. He once went skiing in 32 consecutive months, nearly taking his passion for skiing into the realm of obsession. When he’s not on the slopes you’ll find him getting outside, running and hanging with his dog, Summit.
